![]() ![]() A nice location but facilities were over stretched during our time there.… The staff on reception and shop were fine and accommodating however was very disappointed with the attitude of the staff at this take away. Would not recommend this take away and did not use it again. We found the staff were very abrupt in their manner and were very rude when my wife went to collect the food. ![]() On the first night we visited the take away which was very busy. Facilitates were stretched and the swimming pool rather small and too busy during the pandemic. After spending a long time setting up we did not feel like moving but there were much better pitches available with shade available. (dry and dusty) It lacked privacy and no shade from the sun. However we were allocated a corner pitch which was large but in very poor condition. it is a pleasant location with access to the river and a lovely village within walking distance. We stayed on this site with a caravan and tent during a very hot spell of weather. As a fellow camper said to me, 'why go anywhere else?' Thank you Didier, Nadege and your friendly staff team. Lovely! This is the best campsite in France. We played boules, we visited the trampolines and swings, and frequently we ended the day in the lovely bar area ordering a well cooked and good value meal. It was hot, and our daily routine consisted of collecting some pain chocos or croissants, then deciding between the river and the pools. On this trip we were accompanied by 2 of our children (now 42 and 38) and our nearly 2 year old granddaughter. It was a euphoric moment to be offered 5 nights close to the river, in peak season by Didier. We first stumbled across this site over 30 years ago, as we toured the Dordogne area with 3 young children. The facilities on the site are all clean and well kept, and there is a good daily supply of croissants and pain au chocolats etc in the shop. The 3 swimming pools (2 are aimed at young children) were a daily attraction for our small granddaughter (as was the river). There are good eating places here and the gardens at the top are well worth a visit. The location is unique, offering the fun of playing in the shallow, clear water of the river, with the 'Beau Village' of Limeuil in the background. They have a good, young staff team of workers, who are discreet but always around to help. Didier and Nadege are extremely friendly and welcoming, and they create a warm relaxed holiday environment. We have just returned from a fantastic holiday on this campsite, that has everything that we want from a holiday on the banks of the beautiful river Dordogne.
